About
We founded the Henley Mile Brewery in 2020 out of a love real ale that is brewed locally and authentically. After talking about it for years the three founders decided to give it a go. We were set on using only quality & pure ingredients at Henley Mile to make some amazing session beers.
The Henley Mile was born in 2015 as an idea and a small brewery set up in a garage in Henley in Arden a few years later. Over the past years, our tiny idea has blossomed into a thriving brewery in a soon to be new incredible location.
News for May 2025:
We are relocating the brewery right now to the White Swan public house and we will have more news very soon!
The Henley Mile History
The Henley Mile History
Henley in Arden had a historic place on the route from Birmingham to London and was the first town to take an overnight stay when traversing South, including our location at The White Swan.
As such, many taverns, inns, bordellos and asylums sprang up to cope with the traffic. At one point, on the ½ mile long High Street, 28 pubs could be found.
Over the years, it became a local tradition, to visit each pub, and starting at one end of the High Street, the challenge being to visit each pub on one side of the road, cross-over, and visit each pub on the other side on the way back home; hence, The Henley Mile.
Based on this story we have named our brewery in memory of this local legend.
