Henley in Arden had a historic place on the route from Birmingham to London and was the first town to take an overnight stay when traversing South.
As such, many taverns, inns, bordellos and asylums sprang up to cope with the traffic. At one point, on the ½ mile long High Street, 28 pubs could be found.
Over the years, it became a local tradition, to visit each pub, and starting at one end of the High Street, the challenge being to visit each pub on one side of the road, cross-over, and visit each pub on the other side on the way back home; hence, The Henley Mile.
Based on this story we have named our brewery in memory of this local legend.
